A canoeing and kayaking group is meeting in Cuero to discuss the
possibility of working with Texas Parks and Wildlife to designate a portion of
the Guadalupe River in DeWitt County as a paddling trail.
The paddling trail program promotes conservation for our waterways and
wildlife as well as promoting outdoor recreation.
Texas Parks and Wildlife recently held a ribbon cutting in Victoria for their
official designation as a paddling trail. Other communities include: Luling,
Goliad, and Bastrop and Columbus.
