FALL INTO THE FUN...
The fall season is here in Cuero! Enjoy mild weather and
watching or participating in a variety of sports and
activities. Also, it is time to start planning for the
holidays. Whether you live in Cuero or just come to visit
we have a great calendar of events coming up. During this
festive time of year take advantage of all the hard work
that goes into each of the following activities:
- Cuero Pilot Club Craft Show: November 4, 10 am – 4 pm, Cuero VFW Hall
- Christmas in the Park: November 20 – January 1
- Community Tree Lighting: November 20, 6:30 p.m.
- Lighted Christmas Parade: November 25, 6:30 p.m.
- Cuero Open House: November 24 and 25, Shop in all the unique Cuero stores
- Cuero Home Tour: First weekend in December
- Cuero Heritage Museum: "Quaintly Christmas" display
- Prosperity Bank: N.A. Steen's "Classic Santa Collection"
- Cuero Municipal Library: "Seraphim Christmas Angel Collection"

CDC is participating in the following community projects:
- The public restroom located at 128 E. Main Street is awaiting approval for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- CBAT is working on the baseball field at the City Park. Soon they will start replacing fencing.
- The DeWitt Historical Museum is completing the painting on the building exterior.
- Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum is planning the restoration of the West façade of the Knights of Pythias building.
- Research is ongoing for grant opportunities to revitalize Alexander Park. The park housed FEMA trailers after the flood in 1998. The project includes: playground equipment, benches, half basketball court, and baseball backstop.

Lyndon West Named Finalist For Statewide Award
"Best Commercial Interior"
Lyndon West Interior, in downtown Cuero, was named a finalist
for Best Commercial Interior by the Texas Downtown Association
(TDA). Since 1998, more than 100 projects, events and people in
Texas downtowns have received statewide recognition. The other
finalists for Best Commercial Interior are the Astin Building
in Bryan and the Arcadia Coffee Company in Tyler.
A representative from Lyndon West will make a presentation
to a statewide audience at the TDA and Texas Main Street
Program annual conference in San Angelo, Nov. 16. Winners
will be announced that evening.
TDA is a statewide nonprofit organization comprising more than
400 members involved in more than $1 billion in downtown
revitalization projects. By fostering development and
revitalization, TDA strives to enhance the economic vitality
of Texas downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts by
providing resources, networking opportunities, education and
advocacy.
