SUMMER IN CUERO
Golf - Come out and enjoy our nine hole public course
located within the city park. For information call 361-275-3233.
Museums - Cuero is full of culture. Experience that
by visiting the DeWitt County Historical Museum located in
Bates-Sheppard house. Then hop on over to the Cuero Heritage
Museum and take a look at the wonderful displays featuring
the first Turkey Trots and much more.
Shopping - Even if you're a regular to Cuero visit the
Chamber of Commerce and pick up a guide to shopping, dining,
and accommodations. Then have fun as you walk your way through
antiques, crafts, and specialty items.
City Park - Spend a day at the park swimming in the
junior Olympic pool. Grab a picnic basket and relax under
the large covered picnic areas. Then tackle the walking
trail and take in the beautiful scenery.
Bird Watching - Cuero is site number 28 on the Great
Texas Coastal Birding Trail. Venture out on our back roads
and be amazed at the bird life surrounding our county.
Library - All summer the library has fun programs
including: story time, singing zoologist, clowns, and much
more. Call 361-275-2864 or just drop by to find out what's
going on!

Project Funding
The CDC is getting ready to begin the budgetary process for
the fiscal year 2006-07. The CDC fiscal year begins October 1.
If your organization is interested in a project that promotes
economic development and meets the requirements please come by
our office and fill out an application. Our office is located
at 207 E. Main.
The deadline for applications in June 1st. If you have any
