CDC INTRODUCES NEW DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Greetings!

CDC Director Shelley South It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself. My name is Shelley South and I am the new Economic Development Director. As a native Texan I grew up near the coast in Lake Jackson, which is an hour south of Houston. In 2001 I graduated from Texas State University receiving a Bachelor's of Business Administration with a double major in Management and Computer Information Systems. For several years I worked in Austin, Texas at a non-profit organization as a Facilities and Network Administrator. While working I obtained a Master's of Business Administration from Texas State. I recently graduated in August 2005.

Although I have only been in Cuero for a few months it has captured my heart and soul. I have been welcomed with an amazing speed and grace that truly affirms the Texas state motto "Friendship".

I am looking forward to serving this community and carrying out the mission of the Cuero Development Corporation. Please come by the CDC office and say hello! Our offices are located at 207 E. Main in front of the library. I look forward to meeting and talking with you!
