CDC To Host Strategic Planning Session
The Cuero Development Corporation has again employed the services of Steve Vassallo of Johnson
& Associates, Austin, TX, to facilitate a Strategic Planning Session and complete a Strategic
Plan for CDC. The CDC went through this process in the year 2000 and reviewed that plan in 2002.
Now, in 2004, it is time to restructure the entire process.
Surveys were sent out in the pre-planning process. In addition to the pre-planning surveys, as
many as 65 one-on-one meetings will be held the week of May 3. Feedback from surveys and meetings
will be evaluated prior to the Strategic Planning Session scheduled for Friday, May 7. The Strategic
Planning Session will be held at the Cuero State Bank Community Room at 8:30 a.m. The public is
welcome to attend the Strategic Planning Session.
Johnson & Associates will return to Cuero in August as a follow-up to the Strategic Planning Session.
Services of Johnson & Associates also include a prospect lead generation subscription for a period
of six months.
Golden Crescent Regional Economic Development Summit
Texas Workforce Solutions in partnership with local economic development entities, community-based
organizations and local businesses are sponsoring a regional economic development summit August
11th and 12th in Victoria, Texas at The Victoria College.
This 2-day event will consist of training sessions in basic economic development, panelist
discussions and keynote speakers featuring top elected officials and experts in the field of
economic development.
Economic development professionals, chambers of commerce, local elected officials, Council members,
commissioners and business leaders are encouraged to attend this timely and informative summit.

December Events Update
The December Events Committee, ad hoc commie of the Cuero Development Corporation, has placed
its order for additional displays for Christmas in the Park 2004. Thirty-two new pieces will be
added to the Cuero Municipal Park wonderland this Christmas, not counting numerous additional
snowflakes.
Although displays have been ordered, sponsorships, honorariums and memoriams are still available
in two ways. Snowflakes can be purchased right now, or donations can be made at anytime. Snowflakes
are available in two sizes: 2 1/2 ft. for $75 and 3 1/2 ft. for $100.
