LCRA Economic Development Manager Mark Willis Speaks at October 2019 CLM

Lower Colorado River Authority Economic Development Manager Mark Willis speaks at October 2019 Cuero Community Leaders’ Meeting

The guest speaker at the 7:30 AM, Friday morning, October 4th Community Leaders’ Meeting was Mark Willis, Economic Development Manager for Lower Colorado River Authority. In his presentation, Mr. Willis, who has been with LCRA for the past three months, outlined plans for one of his primary short-term goals, which is to launch a new, dynamic LCRA website by the end of the year. This website will allow site-selection consultants to connect to area economic development corporations who partner with LCRA. Through a dynamic map feature on the website, consultants will be able to search and directly connect to EDC websites which list available property and land. Mr. Willis also spoke about his long-term goals at LCRA, one of which is to offer incentive packages to cities that will eventually include tiered incentive packages. He emphasized that customer satisfaction is always his main objective.

Attendees of the Friday morning meeting at the Cuero Public Library enjoyed light refreshments and Mr. Willis addressed questions following the presentation.

Details for the November 2019 Community Leaders’ Meeting are to be announced.
