At its Monday, January 22nd, 2021 Regular Monthly Meeting, the Cuero Development Corporation board approved the extension of its two dedicated business assistance grant programs in response to the adverse economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new application deadline is May 31st, 2021.
Both programs, the COVID-19 Rental Assistance Grant Program and the COVID-19 Small Business Assistance Grant*, provide up to $6,000 in grants to businesses that have been significantly impacted by the pandemic and that generate sales tax — or are non-sales tax producing businesses previously outlined as non-essential businesses in the Governor’s Executive Order to include: cosmetology salons, barber shops, massage establishments, gyms, and daycare centers within the City of Cuero. Renters may choose one of the two programs.
*Note: COVID-19 Small Business Assistance Grant Program applications are currently being accepted, however, grants will only be awarded pending final approval and authorization of funds to the Cuero Development Corporation by the Cuero City Council in January-February 2021.
Note: All of Cuero Development Corporation’s grant applications are also available in Spanish.
Nota: Todas las aplicaciones de la Cuero Development Corporation también están disponibles en español.
